Here's my quick sketch of a roadster with a 58 Tbird-like rear.
I made the flathead engine out of plastic, with clay oil pan and bell housing.
The flathead engine parts are from an after-market resin shop. The radiator hoses are speaker wire.
The fanbelts are really intricate.
This is the stock body.
Here I start building up the trunk with sheet plastic to simulate a 58 Tbird rear.
When I test-fit the engine, it was so long that it wouldn't fit in the engine compartment.
I cut off the front fenders and glued in a piece of plastic to extend them.
