I cut a piece of plywood into the shape of a rabbit and sculpted and painted clay bunnies to glue to it. I used clay to make my Honu - the Hawaiian sea turtle. We watched these at the Pineapple Dump by the bicyle path on the Coconut Coast of Kauai. Here I shaped clay into a palm tree and island and painted the background. The Hala tree provides these interesting seeds that can be used as a brush. But I saw them as the heads for ZZ Top. The bodies were sculpted in clay. Return to Artwork page
